Working platform

A work platform is a special lifting platform that is used in various industries and construction environments to transport workers safely to heights. For example, work platforms are used in various industrial environments such as warehouses, the construction industry, logistics and many other areas. The work platform is used to carry out maintenance work, repairs, installations and other activities in hard-to-reach places. They provide safety and comfort, even for longer work assignments at height, so that they can be carried out without additional lifting equipment and hoists. Work platforms are therefore a cost-effective alternative to traditional and often more expensive lifting platforms, as they transform existing forklift trucks into equally effective lifting platforms.

Work basket as a forklift attachment

One variant of the work platform is the work basket for forklift trucks. This can simply be attached to the forks of the forklift truck and secured using the safety chain so that repair and maintenance work, for example, can be carried out safely. It is crucial that the work basket and load capacity of the forklift truck are compatible with each other. Further information relates to the safety of all those involved in the use of work platforms or work baskets in order to ensure the safe operation of this equipment. One prerequisite is that employees are trained in the operation of the workman basket and also have a written order from their client. It is also necessary to comply with accident prevention regulations and national regulations - in particular UVV 48 and UVV 1. A supervisor must also be appointed for work on the workman basket. For their part, the persons on the work platform must ensure that they do not endanger themselves or others.
