Mopping machines
A mopping machine is a mechanical cleaning device that has been specially developed for the efficient and thorough cleaning of large floor surfaces. Mopping machines are used in industry and in warehousing and logistics environments to ensure the cleanliness of warehousesproduction areas and logistics centers. There are different types of mopping machines that are used depending on size, capacity and cleaning requirements:
- Scrubber dryers: These machines combine a brush function for scrubbing the floor with a suction unit that sucks up the dirty water directly. This means that scrubber-driers the floor remains virtually dry after cleaning, which minimizes the risk of accidents due to slipping.
- Vacuum sweepers: These machines are designed for cleaning coarse dirt such as dust, chips or packaging materials. They sweep up the dirt and then vacuum it into a container. They are particularly indispensable in areas with high traffic volumes.
Ride-on or walk-behind mopping machine
Mopping machines for industry and commerce are available in two basic designs: as ride-on machineswhere the operator drives the machine, and as walk-behind machines, which are guided behind the operator. Ride-on machines are particularly suitable for large storage areas as they offer high cleaning performance over long distances. Walk-behind models are more compact and are used in confined or hard-to-reach areas where larger machines would be impractical. The choice between these two designs depends largely on the space available and the size of the area to be cleaned.
Mopping machines contribute to occupational safety and hygiene by removing not only dirt, but also oil and grease residues from floors, which are common in storage areas. The correct choice and regular maintenance of a mopping machine used in industry and commerce is important to maintain effective smooth operation in warehouses or production areas while ensuring a clean, safe working environment.
