Work platform, work basket as an attachment for the forklift truck

This practical helper provides comfort and safety for a maximum of two people when working at height for long periods without the need for an additional lifting device. Simply attach the 37.4 in x 37.4 in work basket with a railing height of 36.61 in to the forks of the forklift truck, secure it with the safety chain and repair or maintenance work can be carried out safely. The castors supplied can be fitted if required. Please check the load capacity of the forklift truck. The SolidHub work platform may only be used with forklift trucks with a load capacity of at least 3,307 lbs. Furthermore, the following safety instructions must be observed when working with this forklift accessory:

• It is a prerequisite that you have been instructed in the operation of the work basket and have a written order from the client.
• The accident prevention regulations and national regulations relating to attachments for forklift trucks must always be observed.
• When working on the workman basket, the operator must appoint a supervisor.

Regulations for operation

• The workman basket may only be entered or exited via the access provided.
• The maximum permitted weight of 794 lbs must not be exceeded.
• There must be no obstacles in the lifting area of the workman basket.
• It is prohibited to carry out work closer than 9.84 ft to overhead power lines or to exceed a maximum lifting height of 16.04 ft.
• Persons on the workman basket must work in such a way that they do not endanger themselves or others.
• Climbing onto the protective scaffolding and the use of ladders and scaffolding is prohibited.
• Before starting work with the workman basket under a raised load, check that the lifting gear is properly attached (observe the permissible working load of the lifting gear).
• Loads may only be stored on the ground and inside the basket.
• Enlarging the platform and attaching overhanging loads is not permitted.
• Communication with the driver of the forklift truck must be ensured at all times.

Additional instructions for use with the forklift truck

Secure the work basket against slipping using the safety chain. The chain must be secured behind the forks.

• Persons must not be moved with the workman basket.
• Shelf operation with the workman basket is prohibited.
• The forklift driver must not leave the driver's seat when the workman basket is raised.
• The workman basket may only be used by forklift trucks with a load capacity of at least 3,307 lbs.
• Before attaching the workman basket, it must be ensured that the forklift truck has a fork spacing of 20.67 in and a fork length of at least 31 in.

Note:

Please note that the use of the attachment shifts the centre of gravity of your forklift truck. For more detailed information, refer to the heavy load diagram and the centre of gravity of your forklift truck.
The attachment is not suitable for pallet trucks, but for forklift trucks. Before purchasing, please check whether the attachment is compatible with your forklift truck (fork tine cross-section up to max. 6.3 in x 2.36 in).
